Revenue trend
Guidance
For FY2030, the company guides Revenue to > € 1 bn (8-12% CAGR) (initiated). 32.
Profitability
Q2 2026 operating income was -113.3m, including reorganization costs of €98.9m recognized for Project Horizon provisions and asset impairments, and a separate impairment loss of €42.3m on the Hamburg laboratory building related to a sublease marketing decision 31. Diluted EPS for Q2 2026 was -0.26 133. Q2 free cash flow was -116.3m, while H1 2026 operating free cash flow was negative €111.1m compared to negative €5.3m in H1 2025 31.
Leverage
At end of Q2 2026, net debt was 127.5m and cash was 348.4m, compared to a near-neutral net debt position of -0.5m at end of Q1 2026 133. During H1 2026, Evotec issued €116.1m in convertible bonds due 2033 at a conversion price of €6.5313 per share 31. Total liquidity, including available credit lines, decreased to €465.6m as of H1 2026 31.
Management view
Just – Evotec Biologics launched J.TRAIN, a turnkey continuous manufacturing offering enabling biopharmaceutical companies to deploy Evotec's proprietary continuous processing technology 31. A Bristol Myers Squibb milestone payment of $10m was received following phase 1 initiation of a protein degradation collaboration 31. The Gates Foundation awarded €9.9m in grants for tuberculosis drug discovery and translation 31.
Change
Just – Evotec Biologics revenues declined 29.3% to €72.3m in H1 2026, primarily due to the Sandoz License sale recognized in Q1 2025; excluding this effect, revenues decreased only 2.3% 31. Full-year 2026 revenue guidance was reduced to €570-610m from prior guidance of €700-780m, with adjusted EBITDA now guided to a loss of €70m to €105m versus prior guidance of €0-40m income 31. Employee headcount decreased 6.2% to 4,461 average globally, reflecting divestitures and Project Horizon workforce reductions; total assets decreased €140m to €1,574m and stockholders' equity decreased €148.1m to €665.6m 31.
Risks (current)
Weak sales conversion across all business areas persisted through H1 2026, a pattern that contributed to cash outflows during the period 31. The company carries €272.4m in goodwill whose recoverability is subject to judgment regarding future cash flows and discount rates, and is subject to extensive FDA and regulatory requirements where non-compliance could result in loss of approved supplier status 29. An arbitral court decision in July 2025 requires retroactive lease payments in the low seven-figure range for a not-yet-transferred lease asset, and the biopharmaceutical industry generally remains selective with customers acting cautiously amid economic and geopolitical uncertainties 24 31.
New this reporting period
The sale of Tubulis GmbH to Gilead Sciences was completed on May 21, 2026, for gross consideration of €93.652m with net proceeds of €89.339m 31. Evotec announced a small molecule preclinical development candidate with Almirall in dermatology in May 2026, and a BARDA project agreement for antibody biomanufacturing optimization was signed in March 2026 31. After period-end, Evotec announced a collaboration with Odyssey Therapeutics for AI-enabled drug discovery in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases in August 2026 31.

Reported KPIs (as disclosed) (532)#

Figures the company discloses itself in addition to the standard financials; order intake, recurring revenue, user or unit counts, adjusted measures. These “story KPIs” usually slip through standard databases; here they are collected as reported, with no calculation of our own. Important: the definition comes from the company itself and can differ from firm to firm; period and source are stated next to every value.

Company-specific KPIs verbatim from the filings (English, as disclosed; not normalised). Balance-sheet and boilerplate items filtered.

Guidance Tracking (latest per metric/period · 12/26)#

All management forecasts (guidance) and their later outcome. Types: fiscal-year targets as well as quarterly/half-year targets; per metric and period the most recent statement applies, older versions can be expanded. The status is checked automatically against the actuals reported later: open (period still running), met, beaten, missed. For ranges (“X to Y”) reaching the range counts. Logged neutrally, no estimate of our own, no assessment.

In the first half of fiscal year 2026, Evotec reported group revenues of €300.1m, a decrease of 19.2% year-on-year, driven by weak sales conversion across business areas and a challenging market environment 31. Q1 2026 revenues amounted to 156.6m, declining 22%, with a 15% decline in the D&PD segment and a 38% decline in Just-Evotec Biologics, the latter partly attributable to the prior-year $25m Sandoz license base effect 32; Q2 revenues were 143.5m 133. In March 2026, Evotec initiated Project Horizon, a strategic transformation targeting consolidation to 10 sites with expected €75m run-rate savings by end of 2027, which resulted in €98.9m of reorganization charges recognized in H1 2026 31. The sale of Tubulis GmbH to Gilead Sciences closed on May 21, 2026 for gross proceeds of €93.652m 31. Following revenue shortfalls, full-year guidance was cut to €570-610m revenues and adjusted EBITDA of €(70)-(105)m from prior guidance of €700-780m and €0-40m respectively 31.

FY2025

Evotec SE reported full-year 2025 group revenues of 788.4m, slightly lower year on year, as a 13.5% decline in Discovery & Preclinical Development revenues to €528.9m 29 was only partially offset by a 39.7% increase in Just – Evotec Biologics revenues to €259.4m, largely driven by the landmark Sandoz transaction 29. The full-year net loss narrowed to 103.5m from €196.1m in 2024, primarily because the large reorganisation charges from the Priority Reset programme did not recur in 2025 29. Adjusted Group EBITDA improved to €41.1m from €22.6m in 2024 29, finishing within the revised full-year guidance range. The defining corporate event was the sale of Just – Evotec Biologics EU SAS to Sandoz AG, which closed in December 2025 and moved the company from a net debt to a net cash position 29. Post year-end, Evotec announced the Horizon transformation initiative in March 2026, targeting a reduction from 14 to 10 global sites and run-rate savings of €75m by end of 2027 29.

FY2024

Evotec SE reported full-year 2024 revenues of 797 million, up 2% year-on-year 20, as 71% growth in Just-Evotec Biologics offset a decline in Shared R&D 20. Adjusted Group EBITDA declined 66% to €22.6 million 20, while the operating result was a loss of 142.5 million, including €54.9 million in reorganisation costs related to a priority reset program targeting approximately 400 headcount reductions, site closures and exit from gene therapy activities 20. Net loss for the year totalled 196.1 million 20; cash and equivalents declined from €510.9 million at year-end 2023 to 306.4 million, reflecting capital expenditure of 117.5 million primarily for the second J.POD biologics facility in Toulouse 20. A €250 million senior secured revolving credit facility was secured in July 2024 and covenant waivers from RCF lenders were obtained until 30 June 2025; the J.POD Toulouse facility celebrated its grand opening in September 2024 and is scheduled to begin operations in 2025 20. Group footprint was reduced from 17 to 15 sites in eight countries, with 4,827 employees at year-end 2024 20.

FY2023

Evotec SE reported full-year 2023 group revenue of 781.4 million, a 4% increase from €751.4 million in 2022, achieved despite a criminal cyber-attack on 6 April 2023 that disrupted operations through Q2 and into Q3, causing approximately €43.5 million in direct costs over the full year 11. Q1 2023 was described as the strongest quarter in Evotec's history, while Q2 revenue of 170.3 million was materially reduced by the cyber incident, which caused approximately €70 million in missed net revenues and approximately €90 million impact on full-year adjusted Group EBITDA 3. Three significant strategic partnerships were established or expanded during the year: an eight-year extension of the Bristol Myers Squibb neuroscience programme, a new oncology collaboration with Janssen Biotech, and a biosimilar technology partnership between Just – Evotec Biologics and Sandoz 11. Adjusted Group EBITDA decreased to €66.4 million from €101.7 million in 2022, and the full-year operating result was a loss of 47.5 million; the net loss narrowed to 83.9 million from €175.7 million in 2022, with sources attributing the improvement primarily to better non-operating investment results – the prior year had included approximately €97.7 million in investment revaluation losses – rather than operational performance 10 11.
