„Our record second-quarter results were driven by powerful growth momentum and cost discipline. Looking ahead, the rapid evolution of AI gives us added scope to deliver value to clients and make additional cost savings, while positive trends are becoming clearer across our policy and regulatory landscape. These developments, together with our record performance in 2026 to date, reinforce our confidence that we have upside to our 2028 targets.“ – Christian Sewing, Chief Executive Officer 44
„We delivered another quarter of strong performance, demonstrating the benefits of our well-diversified business model and the strength of our stable capital light businesses – the Corporate Bank, Private Bank and Asset Management – alongside a very strong performance from the Investment Bank. We continued to grow assets under management, loans and deposits, while maintaining disciplined cost and capital management. With a CET1 ratio of 13.9% and strong organic capital generation, we remain well positioned to invest in our businesses and deliver attractive shareholder returns as evidenced by our newly-announced €500 million share buyback from 2026 earnings.“ – Raja Akram, Chief Financial Officer 44

Revenue by Type (as of 2026-Q2 · EURm · 9/14)#

Revenue split by segment or product type, exactly as the company itself reports it. The basis is stated next to each value (3, 6 or 12 months); segment totals can deviate from group revenue (reconciliation/consolidation items). If the company changes its segment structure, older structures are kept in the expandable part. Rows in grey are no longer reported separately by the company; they show the last available figures and are never extrapolated.

Reported KPIs (as disclosed) (1468)#

Figures the company discloses itself in addition to the standard financials; order intake, recurring revenue, user or unit counts, adjusted measures. These “story KPIs” usually slip through standard databases; here they are collected as reported, with no calculation of our own. Important: the definition comes from the company itself and can differ from firm to firm; period and source are stated next to every value.

Company-specific KPIs verbatim from the filings (English, as disclosed; not normalised). Balance-sheet and boilerplate items filtered.

A condensed summary per reporting period as running text: what changed operationally, which drivers management names, how earnings and cash flow developed. Most recent period first, grouped by year; each text is written from the original report of that period, superscript numbers lead to the source.

FY2026

In the first two reported quarters of fiscal year 2026, Deutsche Bank generated net revenues of 8,671 million in Q1 and 8,479 million in Q2, bringing first-half revenues to €17.2 billion, up 5% year-on-year 40. Profit before tax rose 50% year-on-year in Q1 to €3.0 billion 38 and 11% in Q2 to €2,680 million 39, yielding a first-half after-tax profit of a record €4.1 billion, up 9% year-on-year 44. Net income reached 1,912 million in Q1 and 1,640 million in Q2, with diluted earnings per share of 1.06 and 0.57 respectively 140 143. The group reaffirmed its full-year 2026 revenue ambition of approximately €33 billion with a strong first-half foundation 41, and announced a second €500 million share repurchase program from H1 2026 earnings 40. The sale of the Private Bank's India franchise to Kotak Mahindra Bank, expected to close in Q3 2027, was announced as a capital-accretive measure 40.

FY2025

Deutsche Bank AG reported full-year net revenues of 32,096 million in 2025, up 7% year-on-year, while pre-tax profit reached a record €9.7 billion, up 84% versus 2024 32, with the improvement reflecting strong operational performance and the non-recurrence of prior-year litigation items 35. Net income attributable to Deutsche Bank shareholders reached 6,122 million, producing diluted earnings per share of 3.09 27. The cost/income ratio improved to 64% from 76% in the prior year, meeting the below-65% target, as noninterest expenses declined 10% to €20.7 billion partly driven by the absence of prior-year nonoperating costs 32. Post-tax return on average tangible shareholders' equity reached 10.3%, exceeding the bank's above-10% target, with all four business divisions achieving double-digit profit growth for the first time 35. The CET1 capital ratio stood at 14.2% at year-end, slightly above the 13.5%-14.0% operating range, supported by organic capital generation and approximately €31 billion in cumulative capital efficiency benefits 35.

FY2024

Deutsche Bank reported total net revenues of 30,092 million in fiscal year 2024, up 4% year-on-year, representing the fifth consecutive annual increase, with the Investment Bank delivering revenues up 15% year-on-year and Origination & Advisory revenues up 61% 24.
