All management forecasts (guidance) and their later outcome. Types: fiscal-year targets as well as quarterly/half-year targets; per metric and period the most recent statement applies, older versions can be expanded. The status is checked automatically against the actuals reported later: open (period still running), met, beaten, missed. For ranges (“X to Y”) reaching the range counts. Logged neutrally, no estimate of our own, no assessment.

A condensed summary per reporting period as running text: what changed operationally, which drivers management names, how earnings and cash flow developed. Most recent period first, grouped by year; each text is written from the original report of that period, superscript numbers lead to the source.
FY2026
In the first half of 2026, Volkswagen Group recorded group sales revenue of 75,658 in Q1 and 82,444 in Q2, while group deliveries declined 6.3% year-on-year to 4.1 million vehicles, driven by significant volume declines in North America and Asia-Pacific 5. The H1 group operating result fell to €5.9 billion from €6.7 billion, impacted by €0.5 billion in expenses from the discontinuation of ID.4 production at the Chattanooga site and negative mix effects; earnings before tax declined to €4.8 billion from €6.4 billion, and earnings after tax to €3.1 billion from €4.5 billion 5. On the strategic front, Volkswagen invested an additional USD 1 billion in Rivian in April 2026, raising its equity interest to 15.9%, and on June 24, 2026 entered an arrangement with Bain Capital to sell a 51% stake in Everllence targeting approximately €7.4 billion in cash inflow by December 31, 2026 5. Volkswagen also agreed to acquire a further 27% of Green Mobility Holding, the Europcar parent, for approximately €1 billion planned for 2027, which would bring its stake to 93% 5. Full-year guidance was revised, with group deliveries now expected to decline 7.0% to 3.0% and group sales revenue to decline 3.0% to 0%, citing significant market volume declines in China 5.
FY2025
Volkswagen Group reported full-year 2025 sales revenue of 321,913 million, broadly stable with the prior-year level, while operating profit declined significantly to 8,868 million from €19,060 million in 2024, primarily due to non-cash impairment losses at Porsche (€2.7 billion goodwill impairment and €2.0 billion on capitalized project costs) and US import tariff costs of €2.9 billion 3. Operating return on sales fell to 2.8% from 5.9% in the prior year, with gross margin declining to 15.9% from 18.3% due to higher material costs and adverse tariff and exchange rate effects 3. Net income for the year was 6,904 million, with diluted earnings per share of 13.29 3. Group free cash flow was -9,337 million as capital expenditure of 24,346 million exceeded operating cash flow of 15,009 million, while Automotive Division net cash flow increased to €6.4 billion and year-end net liquidity in that division stood at approximately €34.5 billion 3.
FY2024
Volkswagen Group achieved sales revenue of 324,656 million in fiscal year 2024, up 0.7% year-on-year 2, as global vehicle deliveries fell 2.3% to 9.0 million units compared to the prior year 2. The operating result of 19,060 million was 15.4% below the prior-year figure, primarily reflecting €3.0 billion in restructuring charges at Volkswagen AG and Audi Group as well as negative mix and pricing effects 2. Group net income was 12,394 million, with diluted earnings per ordinary share at 21.36 2. Group free cash flow was -51 million as the Automotive Division's operating free cash flow declined to €5.0 billion from €10.7 billion, with the cash conversion rate falling to 31.4% from 57.1% 2. Key events of the year included the November 2024 formation of a joint venture with Rivian for software-defined vehicle architectures, a €661 million non-cash write-down following Northvolt AB's bankruptcy filing, and a December 2024 collective bargaining agreement creating conditions for €1.5 billion in annual labor cost savings through 2030 2.
FY2023
Volkswagen Group reported sales revenue of 322,284 million in FY2023, up 15.5% from the prior year, driven by 9.2 million vehicle deliveries (up 11.8%), improved price positioning, and favorable mix, partially offset by exchange rate effects 1. The operating result of 22,528 million was largely flat year-over-year, as volume and pricing gains were offset by higher product costs and unfavorable derivative fair value measurements, while the operating return on sales declined to 7.0% from 7.9% in 2022 1. Net income rose to 17,861 million and diluted earnings per share reached 31.79 1. The Automotive Division net cash flow more than doubled year-over-year to €10.7 billion on stronger-than-expected inventory reduction, with Automotive Division net liquidity at €40.3 billion at year-end, at the upper end of the expected range 1. Key strategic actions included the acquisition of a 4.99% stake in XPeng Inc. for USD 706 million, the establishment of the CARIZON joint venture with Horizon Robotics for autonomous driving in China, and the completed divestiture of Russian operations in May 2023 1.
